The town of Westford Massachusetts bought Hill's Orchard in 2000. It was decided that as it was one of the last remaining commercial orchards in the town it should be purchased and put under the care of the Conservation Committee. The orchard had been owned by the Hill family for many generations and they had maintained an abundance of fruit at the orchard ranging from peaches and pears to apricots, plums, and apples. Hill Orchard, as it is now known, still operates as a commercial orchard with a retail farm stand.

Anthony and Fenella Levick now operate Hill orchard and farm stand on the corner of Hunt and Chamberlain Road. Anthony has always been a fruit grower and has his own home farm in New Hampshire, Monadnock Berries, growing blueberries and raspberries. Although Anthony was born and raised in England he has transplanted well. Fenella, a fruit grower by association and a weaver by trade, runs both farm stands along with her experienced staff. Most days you will find either Anthony or Fenella at the stand helping customers pick out the juiciest peach or the crunchiest apple.

Hill Orchard produces peaches from August 1 to September 15 or there abouts. Apples are available in late August with the Pick Your Own weekends in September and October. On weekends there is a free Hay Ride around the orchard for your pleasure.
